Phone unload!!

I'm doing horrible at keeping the ole blog up to date!!  I have tons of pics that I need to get on here.....

So hang on here we goooooo!!!

I rode down with Dad to help bring a few loads back from Colorado so we stopped by the OSU Remember the 10 memorial.  It just leaves a pit in your stomach when visit a site like this.  To think of the terror and sadness and how close to houses the crash actually was is just frightening!!

This is the memorial near the road....

This is the actual crash site that is about 200 yards from the road in a field.

In April we ran in the Memorial...this year I opted for a relay and a short leg of the relay!!  Guess who decided to participate........GREGG!!!  I know it's shocking!  Our other team mates are all from our Sunday school class, BJ and Kim Williams and Riley Fanning.  We are just so happy to be a part of this great group and are making some great friends!!
Some things I like to add to the blog just so I'll always have them.  This is a self portrait of Colt.... Normally his self identifier is brown spiky hair, in this portrait he decided he need to add his anatomy to identify himself!!!  "But mom I am a boy!!"
This is Riley's famous mad face!!  Lovely right!!???
Our first water park trip of the 2013 season.
Of course the softball World Series was a highlight......
Seeing Sam and the fam is the true highlight!!!  Miss this girl so much!!
Oh and my ESPN debut, need to keep that FOREVER!!
Another highlight Miranda Lambert with some of my FAVORITE peeps!!!
Riley's softball season has taken up a lot of our summer nights......but I'll take them and pray sports keep taking up our nights!!!

Lastly I took some new pics of the kids......these are just a FEW of my favorites.

Riley turns 7!!!

Well the party has come and gone just about as fast as the 7 years that God has blessed me to be a mom of a fast running, dancing, singing, softball playing, basketball hating, sometimes shy, most of the time sassy, Justin Beiber LOVIN, lookin like her Daddy, not so little anymore girl!!! Yes she's growing up.....my first clue......she had B.O.!!!!! What??!!! Probably too much information for the blog world but darn it she is suppose to be my little girl!!! Another growing up warning sign....she asked for a slumber party!!!! Since we have not had a party for her in the last two years due to moving and broken arms we decided to just go for it!! We started out with 3 invitations and before I knew it we were sending out 8!!?? We decided to go with a night owl theme and I got this cute idea from another blog about making owl pillows for the girls as their party favors. Yeah they took some time, but I think they were worth it! They turned out pretty darn cute and I think the girls were pretty excited about them! All the pics I took are from my phone because I, of course, waited till the last minute to get my camera out only to find it dead and I wasn't able to find my charger!!! Ughhhh!! So all I have are phone pics, sorry. :(

I decorated up the garage in hopes that they would spend most of their time out there....maybe even sleep out there.  Didn't happen!  They did spend a lot of inside time out there but it thundered and rained some that night so they wanted to sleep inside.  I was ok with that, I didn't want any of them to be scared.

Riley requested each of the girls have their own cake.......cake decorating is soooooo NOT FOR ME!!!  Note the paper flags on Riley's slightly larger cake.

We started the evening off with some outside water fun.  Here they are dumping a tub of water on the birthday girl.  We had water balloons, big sponges in a water bucket, a 3 man slip n slide and the sprinkler under the trampoline.
After playing outside everyone came in and we made mini pizzas.
After eating I sent them into the garage for some painting.  Each girl painted their own owl picture to take home.

I think all the pictures turned out really cute and the girls LOVED this!!

While they painted I hid the "Owl Eggs".  Each egg had a number inside that corresponded with a bag that had a number on it.  That helped them find their Owl which they adopted and named.

Here they are with their owls.

After that it was cake and ice cream time.  There was a near catastrophe when I forgot to take the paper flags off the cake (look at the picture above) and they started on FIRE!!  But they burned quickly and were out before we knew it!!  hahaha!

After cake and presents they headed back out to the garage for a movie.  Dad let us borrow his projector so it was like they were at the movies....or so the girls thought anyway!!

Here's just some fun pics from the night.........

Madi gives the party a thumbs up!

And the birthday girl was one of the first to sack out.  I think that is pretty normal for Riley at most slumber parties she goes to.  She's a lot like me......we need our sleep!!

The next morning I got a runway show........

I think everyone had a great time and the only real drama we had was who would play "mom" while playing family!!

I hope Riley had fun and her 7th birthday will be one she will remember.....I know I will!!!
Love you to the moon and back Riley Bug!!!

Catch UP!!!

I'm behind!!  Oh sooooo behind!!!  We've been pretty busy around here and lots of fun things have happened.  So sit down and stay awhile.....it's going to be a long one!!

First on the list of exciting things that have happened lately.....The Daddy Daughter Dance!!  Yes Gregg went!!!  I know right??!!!  I don't think it was as awful as he was expecting and Riley had a great time dancing with her friends!!  The things a Daddy will do for his little girl!

Second on the list of fun and excitement....The Kiwanis Track Meet.  This was the first year that Riley would could participate.  The girls could pick 2 running events from the list of 35 yd, 50 yd, 75 yd, or 100 yd dashes.  Riley went with 35 yard dash and 75 yard dash.  We always knew that Ri was pretty fast, and we all know she gets if from her Daddy I take NO responsibility for her speediness!!!  Well turns out she is pretty fast and she won 1st in both her races.

 The 35 yard dash.
The victory was a little bitter sweet, she had to beat one of her best friends, Blayre Meadows,  to get first.
 The 75 yard dash.
Again bitter sweet.....and again had to run very fast to beat Blayre.
The track meet was a lot of fun!
I'm pretty sure all the girls really had a great time and they all did so well!!

This post seems to be ALL ABOUT Riley.....well Colt just doesn't have a lot going on right now.  We decided to take the spring off from soccer after a rough fall season (there were A LOT of tears involved this fall!!!) and he's not old enough for t-ball or track.  So he's just been tagging along and hanging with the little brothers at all the big sister events!!

3rd fun and exciting event......A Mother's Day camp out.
Dylann was loving her some Colt!
 Pretty girl smile!!
And this is great!!  The kids were going to head out on the lake for a morning boat ride so Dyl got a new life jacket....it might be a little snug, but she seems happy enough....
oops down she goes and she can't get up....she's doing the rocking turtle!!
 And she's almost up........
Nope she's stuck in SUMO POSITION!!!  hahahaha!!  This happens to me sometimes too!!!
And a little help from Mom.
 She's up!!!
And all is good on the boat.....................
 Uhhhhhhhhh nope it's not.........
Still not good and you see that "real" fisherman in the background??  He was giving the boat of screaming kids the real stink eye!!!
Can you see the girl in the tree????

 Time for a nature walk..........

We sure did miss Nate and Nash this weekend  :(

He's the king of the world!!!
Dylann showing just how many powdered donuts she can fit in her mouth.
And we celebrated Riley's birthday since she will be having a slumber party and the fam won't be attending.

She had to have his face??!!
On Saturday I ran in the Color me Rad 5k with my girlfriend Katie.  It was a lot of fun!!  I can't wait to do another one!!!

While I was running I just kept thinking how much the kids would love this....so I bought some extra color bombs and we had our own run!!!

They did LOVE IT!!!  It was a good weekend!!!

Hope you made it to the end!!
